Job Description:

We are STIHL Incorporated, the world's best selling brand of chain saws and maker of high quality outdoor power equipment. Since 1925, we have been producing the highest quality products, combining modern technology with old-world craftsmanship. We currently have an opportunity available for a Manager of Training and Development in our Human Resources Department.

This position is responsible for building employee competencies throughout the organization.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing, implementing, and administering organization-wide
  training and development programs to include needs assessments, gap
  analysis, succession planning, and career counseling.
• Developing and implementing programs, as well as corporate
  orientation and administration of apprenticeship programs.
• Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of training events and
  development programs.
• Participating in communications programs that may include newsletter
  and policy development.
• Perform additional duties as required.
  

Requirements for this position:

• Four year college degree in a related discipline.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
• Five years of Training experience in a Manufacturing environment.
