Why the $5 increase? The SEVA
ASTD Board over the last few years has voted not to increase
the dinner event rate despite an annual increase in hotel venue
expenses. Typically, SEVA does not recover the cost it incurs to
hold each dinner event. Due to another recent hotel rate increase,
however, the Board regretfully voted to increase the dinner rates
by $5 to help these dinner events "break even" with the cost
incurred by the venue. If you would further information about this
